I've never noticed it on any other tiel I have but the baby Grey has wing spots on the top of the flight feathers along with the underneath

and I do believe its just the one side - i'll try to get a better look tomorrow, She/he doesn't like to hold still for anything.

What you are seeing is normal. The dots on the flights are seen on either side of the feather.

I only have the one grey right now So i didn't have any on hand to compare to, but I knew the grey from last season didn't have any which is this one (and the Lutino and Pieds) brother.

You mean he had no wingspots at all? Every once in awhile I will get a grey like that and it has always been a male.

I think he had wing spots on the under parts of his wings. I'll have to go through my pictures and see if by chance any show under his wings.

I don't have him any more - He's actually at our local children museum but he's over a year old now So the spots are gone lol

the bird in the pic, can be either male or female But I'm guessing Female, since it has very little yellow on her face. The grey last season's face always looked dirty from the mix of yellow and grey.

but time will tell.

With my chicks the spots show through on both sides. Perhaps there's some individual variation in this?
