Happy Civic Holiday

Just wanted to wish all the Canadians a Happy Civic holiday, its celebrated on the first monday in August although its not much of a holiday anymore ;) for those that don't know it was a holiday started way back when for the working people the intent of it was for people not to work...lol but now a days most people seem to be working the holiday and less are off, the only ones that seem to still get the holiday off are banks, government workers, and maybe a few others, most department stores are open as are grocery stores, just a little bit of Canadian history for you. :D

I have today off because of the civic holiday. But my work is still open it is a volenteer day :D

Found something else out to. Newfoundland celerbrates this holiday the most. Banks, mail, and other things are not opened. This is what caused a delay in my cage..

actually its not just Newfoundland all banks, mail and government offices are closed everywhere in Canada.

Well when we phoned UPS thay told us because newfoundland celerbrates it so much that they don't have the ferry from Ns to Nl. Quite sad because it caused a delay in my cage. It was supose to come tomorral but it could have come today if the ferry had been running.

it is sad just making you wait one more day, You wouldn't have gotten anywhere you lived in Canada though its not just Newfoundland UPS does not ship on Civic holidays the only place it doesn't apply to is Quebec.

I guess if you lived in Quebec you would have got it yesterday...lol oh well you get your cage tommorrow and you will forget all about holidays and shipping delays ;)
