Favourite Mutation?

What's you're favourite cockatiel mutation? Mine has to be whiteface cinnamon pied, that would be my dream tiel i think (colourwise). I've got my whiteface, and i have my cinnie pied, lol, just not combined. :p

I love ALL tiels..(really..I'll take them all! LOL) but....I have a normal grey now and I'm looking at maybe finding a lutino...acctually, I don't really care..but I think lutinos have a special look to them...I'll take any one though!

Then i got Disney (cinny pearl) andMaya is a nomal pied (so combined i have my cinny pearl pied ;) hehe)

If i could get 1 more tiel it would be a male WF nomal. I use to not like them much, but i love them now! WF Pieds are my 2nd choice... i love the black on white :cool: lol

Thats a good question I never really thought about a favourite, I like them all, I don't think I could really pick a favourite right now, if I could I would have one of each....lol :p

Its funny though, when I was researching tiels and what one to get I wanted one all yellow or a whiteface, but when I got Lea she was the only baby available in a tiel drought, and her face was soooo cute I couldn't resist! I had to have her :p When I was looking at other tiels at the bird show a couple of weeks ago I thought, nope not as cute as Lea..... I am so glad I got my little grey girl! ;)

my story is somewhat similiar I started researching on tiels and I could only find one breeder around me, she was the only one left at the breeders and I couldn't resist so thats how I ended up with my little grey girl to ;)

I have changed my mind

I really like normal greys and normal whitefaces (in males). Whiteface pieds are my all time favourite though, and pearling wouldn't hurt (with the WF pied).

I'd have to say my favorite overall is whiteface and all of the mutations with it. (Ex. whiteface pearl, whiteface lutino, whiteface pied, etc.)

i like all whiteface mutations... i have an issue with the colour yellow :p
but choosing a tiel is very up to the personality for me (after the no-yellow rule)

Lutinos and pearls are my favorites! I just bought this beautiful pearl-pied lutino hen. Her father was a best in show and three of her four grandparents are grand champions! Her mate is normal/pied/lutino/pearl. Can't wait for babies!

Well after looking around more and more i've fallen inlove with normal wf hens and wf cinny pearls and wf pearls (Hens to keep the pearling) Next on the list is cinny pied. I love all the colors really but these just stand out to me the most

I personally think pearls and pies are beautiful. All cockatiels are beautiful in my opinion, but the perttiest cockatiel I have seen would have be a white face pearl. They remind me of snowy owls, or something that looks like a hawk. Stunning birds...:o

Same here! When I got Baby or Ziggy I didn't have any mutation in mind. Just went for the tiel that stood out to me.:love: Love at first sight type of thing..:) I do love lutinos though!

ok... my input here would be similar to the no-yellow issue... I prefer WF over yellows.... as I can´t stand yellow or pink colour on anything.... buuut....

in yellow series (aka normal orange cheeked birds) I prefer
Pieds.. if heavy better
Lutinos.... very pale or very bright (I know I said no yellow but these are exception)
Lutino Pearl
Cinnamon pieds
Cinnamon pearl pied


and in WF series (which I prefer over all other)
WF Lutino
WF Cinnamon Pearl Pied
WF Cinnamon Pearl
WF Pied... heavy is also better

I too woudl love to have one or two of each ;)
