I'm a newbie and my suggestion is to have a forum on only toys for cockatiels for discussions on anything from safe items to use in making toys to detailed instructions on how to make some tried-and-true toys. Based on my own experience, I joined this site mainly to ask toy-related questions. I'm getting my very first tiel in 2 days so I've been reading a lot of literature on caring for tiels from books and the Internet. However, when it comes to toys, there's just so much conflicting information on the Internet that in the end, I became totally confused as to what to use and what not to use, and I understand that everyone has his/her own opinion and what is considered safe for one bird may not be for another. I think there is a real lack of clear and especially well-researched information on the Internet when it comes to finding items to make for cockatiels. Based on my experience with this Forum (which I'm awfully glad I discovered), there seems to be a lot of very experienced tiel owners here who offer very good and well-researched advice. I think having a forum just on toys would be great as we all love our tiels and want to give them toys, but the majority of us are not millionares and would like to save $$$ by making our own toys, and the safety of these toys is always an issue. No tiel owner wants to live with the fact that our tiel has died from a toy that we made for him/her with so much love. :( Please think about it. :D Thanks.....
