thanks thats a very useful site they really are cute birds :)
They are such cute little birds, we have them wild here and i love watching them. They're always running around in pairs and i've never seen a male without his little girlfriend beside him. I don't know anything about keeping them in captivity, but i'm sure there's lots of info out there.

there both very healthy i have seen them a few time over the year and they seem good and so do the chicks but i was wondering if this would be a big enough breeding cage for them? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BUDGIE-BREEDING-CAGE-WITH-ACCESSORIES-NESTBOX-NEW_W0QQitemZ250156070655QQihZ015QQcategoryZ46289Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Iam not sure about the cage size. But is he geting rid of them so they don't have to be breeders anymore? Iam just wondering why he is giving them away? Can't wait for photos when you get them.

Bea you are so darn lucky! :p
Red-rumps are beautiful, an old man on this bird stall at the market has them and he sits there the whole day and talks to them. They are amazing and always chirp back. :)

hes getting rid of them because hes thinking of getting another pair of birds (military macaws i think) so he knew i was interested in breeding birds and he said these are easy to breed and seeming so he needs space he said he would let me have them he was only going to sell the pair for about 30 pounds and he said it would cost almost that much to advertise them they breed until they are six and his pair are male 2 and a half and the female 2 years old.
