I love to sit in the living room and watch the birds out the back they usually come onto my fence or down on the grass and walk around so I had this bright idea when I was at Walmart to get a bird feeder they had them on for over half off and I have wanted one for a long time so there i got put it up looking so pretty and I have NOT seen one bird since then...LOL maybe there scared of it....hehe :p
When we got a bird feeder it took a while to get regular bird traffic to our yard. :p They have to discover it's there, discover it holds food, and then discover it's not a trap that going to kill them, lol!! I think you'll get birds sooner or later. This is what we get now, almost daily:

We've established through a little research that this is about all the native parrots we will get that live in the area. So we're very happy!! We also get crested pigeons, and these little finchy sparrow things.

Can't find a photo of the little birds, will keep looking though.

well I certainly won't see ANY of those birds around my feeder...LOL they are absolutely amazing I love the 4th pic they are just stunning with all those colours, I finally got some birds this evening some small brown plain looking sparrows :p I am not kidding when I say there must of been at least 25 of them all lined up on the fence and underneath the feeder on the grass and only one on the feeder it was so funny everytime another bird tried to come on the feeder the lone one that was on it would push them off...hehe I will have to get some pic's of them :)

We sometimes get 20+ crested pigeons, they practically live in our yard. :p They line up near the aviary eating what the aviary budgies throw out. ;)

Hehe that is so cute, it sounds like the pack dared one of them to go try out the food, if he survives then they all will have a go!! Watching eagerly to see if he will be trapped! :p
I have always wanted a bird feeder, I wonder if I will get birds to come to my new backyard, I might set one up in front of the patio and see if they come! ;)

thats exactly what it looked like :D its funny when the one would go and try the food the others would see and decide ok its safe and try to get on the feeder and the one already on it would knock them off it was to funny to watch :p
