I Got Ivory In 2007 And She Is Pure White Like A WF Lutino But Is Starting To Get Barring On Her Tail But Can't Tell Unless Under A Light! She Also Has Bluegrey Eyes Not The Typical Red Or Pink Of A WF Lutino So Does This Mean She Has Cinnamon In Her Bloodline? I Heard Somewhere Is They Have Bluegrey Eyes It Means Cinnamon In Her Bloodline. Is This Rare?
Thanks, Melissa

You would maybe need to show us a photo so we know what you mean. I've never heard about cinnamons having blue/grey eyes.

Here's Ivory's Bluegrey eyes

I Can't Find A Picture Of Her Tail Feathers But If You Need Another Picture I Will Try My Best

According to srtiels, pied when combined with lutino can cause the red eyes to turn blue or amber after about a year. So I'd guess you have a WF Lutino Pied.

Mythara is dead on. When the pied gene is combined with lutino it can alter the normal coloration of the eyes.

If you are seeing barring in her tail, if it is a white on white it could be that see is a WF lutino pearl pied. If the barring is a very pale sand color she could also be a WF cinnamon lutino pied or pearl pied.

May I save a copy of her pix for my files? I'm trying to compile pix's of the variances in lutinos eyes and the genetic causes.

Thank you :) As to the tail feathers...if most (a couple will be solid, which are the pied ones) are white on white barred then she is also pearled. If just the 2 outer side ones then she is not.

It's funny you say that because my "Lutino" has grey eyes rather than red, brown or black so I always just figured her to be a clear pied.
