he has the colouring of a red healer (Australian cattle dog)
when he was born he was pure white with a red patch over each eye...
they get their spots as they age, like a dalmatian does

My jack russell has become spotty as he's gotten older. He used to be very white apart from his main brown markings, but now he's got pale brown spots ALL over him. :p
