Missing F1 & F10

Oh my. came home and wow almost all my keys on my laptop are missing. i found all but these 2 and i don't got a clue where they are. i hope they had fun cause they are going to enjoy a week in there cage or until i kind the keys. Little sinkers!

Did you look under the paper in their cage? :p they may be saving them up to make their own keyboard lol

lol their cage is on the other side of the room. and to think, i went out and bought a bunch of goodies for them because they are such "good birds".

Anyone know where i can buy sliver keyboard numbers lol. I can't look no more tonight. its really late now. Hoping i find it tomorrow. I'll sweep up the whole room and shake everything. Then once everything is a pile i'll go through it a few times

Sorry to hear. You shouldn't let them out while you're out. I'm sure mine would destroy the place if I wasn't here. Don't be mad at them...

i thought i had them locked in. Apperently a side door was open. I'm sure it will turn up. If not looks like i don't have a F10, maybe i can go back to the place i bought it and tell them when i opened the box there was no F10 button lol.

Oh well i'm sure it will turn up. I bought them some nice noisey buttons ( craft parts, they are very big i see them used on toys before, think i saw some on a perch bea made) and some jumbo beads for some new toys. Now to find out how to get get onto my laptop and i'd be able to show off some new DIY toys

If not oh well, I don't really think F10 has a use anyways. Maybe i will call where i bought my laptop and tell them they umm when i opened the box there was no F10 on my laptop and is it possible to get a new one without having to bring my laptop in. Who knows. Lesson learned the hard way. Never leave anything near the tiels.

you may try going to a thrift shop getting a used keyboard verry cheap there

You shouldn't tell them it was missing when you got it, that would be an outright lie! You could try contacting the company the made your laptop and ask if they could mail you the key. Or you could try Allen"s suggestion. Hope you find it or get a replacement soon.

Oh, dear - what naughty birds. You'll have to do what we have to do with the 1 key of our phone that Willow decided to pull off. Use a pencil (well until you find the keys). ;)

i had do the same on my phone but it was my sisters rat that chewed of the key:eek: good look with finding f10

Baby chewed the ON/OFF button on my old tv remote..I had to use my nail to turn it on everytime!

Next time always close your lap top when you are done using it ;) Spike loves my keyboard and bites me when he thinks Iam typing to much on his keyboard :eek: I would write the company and tell them your birds stole your key and see if they send you another one :)

Still no luck finding it. So much for punishment for them. First thing this morning they were out, got there cages changed around and some yummy millet. Guess i'll be asking them is there is anything they can do or i could just wait until i bring my laptop in for upgrades and see if they will replace it then.

Oh you've got a laptop too? Bummer. With Keyboards you can always replace them, but with laptops you can't.

I have no capslock key, and whenever I type several keys start popping off. lol

I can't give Willow a punishment, I just look at those sweet, button eyes and think, ''Oh, give her one more chance'', that happens every time LOL. :p

F10 isn't a key used often and most of the time when a key goes missing you can just use a end of a pen or pencile, to push it, Some computers have you push F10 at the start up to get into the setup, but that's only if your having computer problems

not sure about laptops but i've used keys from other keyboards on my desktop many times after i took keys off to clean under them and ended up loosing them

The way the laptop buttons are i can still use them even if the button itself isn't there. It was really bad when i they about 20 buttons picked off. Oh well, Not like i use the button much. Be a little different if it was F5 cause i use that to refresh pages

Have you looked under desks and book shelves and that sort of stuff? Sometimes when I lose stuff like that we end up finding like all the way across the room. Its amazing how far stuff can roll or get kicked away from where it originally landed.

i've looked pretty much everywhere for it. Last thing left to do it sweep up the whole room and go through the dust and seed and pellets. Theres actually a lot of seed and pellets on the floor now. the rabbit knocked over the seed bucket and little sister poured pellets all over the floor. Sigh, there goes them pellets.
