I'm So Happy!

Today i went clothes shopping with a friend of mine, because i got a gift card for xmas for a clothes shop i like. Anyway, i found a dress which i had spotted a few months ago and LOVED at the time but didn't want to pay the price (because i am just about the worlds cheapest shopper, hehe) but today it was on the clearance rack for half price!! I tried it on and it looks beautiful, and the gift card covered that and a new pair of thongs (flip flops? ... not the underwear, hehe) which was perfect because i can wear the two together and i had worn my other pair of thongs out. :lol: It's the first dress i've owned since i was a little kid! :o I'm so happy i found it, i've been meaning to buy myself a nice everyday dress for so long. This on is mostly black with a white flowery design on it, and it's strapless. It all ties up at the back. I got my friend to take a photo, so i might post it in the next couple of days when i bother to get it off the camera. ;)

Awww, how lovely. I love dresses, but it's hard finding an everyday dress, rather than a special occasion dress. Please post a picture! I would love to see it. ;)

It sounds lovely Bea. I'm always the one who annoys friends when out shopping by saying 'I like it but it's too expensive' a lot. :p
I just love the New Year sales 'cos you always have a bit of money from Christmas and everything is on sale!!! It's great! :D

Wow you got a good deal. I bet you are glad you did not buy it at first glance. Since you would of payed full price. That language barrier is a bit funny sometimes. If you where to wear out your thongs here it would not be a good thing :p

I am a deal shopper to, you always know at some point it will go on sale but your lucky it was still there it sounds very nice :D

I normally wait for the sales before I go shopping but it's rare that I find something in my size. :(

Bea, my mum had a funny experience once in Australia. This guide person we were with said to her 'Nice thongs!' 'cos she had these nice gold flip-flops on. I had to explain to her later what the guide meant. :blush:

:lol: That's so funny!! To me the word flip-flops seems so long! Anyway, if i were to say nice thongs, that implies there are two, and i can't see any reason for wearing two "thongs". :p

Here's a photo of the dress i got, i need to find a strapless bra to go with it now, but i'll put that off for as long as possible...i'm so cheap. :rolleyes:

Hehe, thanks guys! I really like it! You can see i never wear anything less that a singlet top from my tan line. :p Maybe i need to wear my dress for a couple of days to fix that up.

Yes I know! I think that my mum was a bit shocked and didn't hear the 's'. :p
We use the word 'thongs' for thongs in our home now. Partly 'cos of the funny incident with Mum and also because we started calling them that (to make fun of Mum :p) after the event. It sorta caught on...:D
