Our newest family member

I swear my daughter can talk me into just about anything when it comes to animals I am such a sucker, went to the pet store tonight to get Pepper some treats and she saw him and fell in love :love: another cage another hamster more for me to clean but I don't mind :p I have to admit he is cute and evil looking all at the same time, he is a white dwarf hamster with red eyes he is twice the size of lulu :eek: he is a very big boy he seems to be enjoying his new home the cage we got him came with this little nap time hut that hangs from the top of the cage its actually pretty cool :)

Thats what I was wondering ...lol :p there was two white ones in the cage but this one was the nicer one the other kept biting :eek: they said they thought they were both male, I said to my daughter this better not be a female and pregnant its happened to us before we bought my daughter one for christmas years ago told it was male and a week after we had it I looked in and there were 5 babies :blink:

His cage mate was evil :eek: my daughter went behind were there kept to see them both to pick which one she liked and she put her hand in and this one was sniffing and licking her hand and the other one was lunging at her...lol she was trying to pick Mr Sniffles up and his cage mate kept chasing her hand and attacking her I was like we are definitely not taking that one...lol

Hey it just dawned on me when I said he sniffed and licked her hand maybe thats why she called him Mr Sniffles....LOL :lol:

Just a little update Mr Sniffles has settled into his cage nicely he has turned out to be a very nice little hamster he lets you touch him pat his back hold him and he doesn't bite so thats a bonus :D he certainly is a fat little guy though :eek: I wonder what the heck they were feeding him because there was no food in the cage when I was there :rolleyes: I am going to have to get him on a hamster diet :p couple laps a day on the wheel 15 minutes of rolling in the ball are on his menu..hehe

Mr Sniffles is adorable! My daughter talked me into a hamster of course it wasn't very hard to do cause I like you love the little critters! Her hamsters name is Cinderella because she thinks he is a girl I have tried to explain that he isn't and she won't have listen.. 6 yr olds sheesh! Anyway she and I joined this hamster board together http://myhamsterheaven.proboards56.com/index.cgi she loves having me read the post and helping me tell them what she thinks. Anyhoo tell your little girl that my little girl just loves her hamster.... Alyssa has been wanting a dwarf or a robo hamster for some time now..

Yes 6 yr olds can be funny eh my son just turned seven a few months back so I know how that is...lol thanks for the link to the hamster board ;) I will be sure to tell Alexis that you guys think Mr Sniffles is adorable she will like that. we have had many types of hamsters over the years but we seem to have good luck with the dwarf hamsters as far as them being friendly and cuddly and living to old age.
