Molting

Hi Everyone!
my Max started molting about 2 weeks ago. His personality has changed a bit and he's a little grumpy lately. It's his first molt. Does anyone know how long this will go for? he still likes flying around and lands on my shoulder but he won't let me touch his head.

Moulting and all those itchy pin feathers is enough to put any tiel in a grumpy mood. My guys get a little short tempered when they're moulting. Moults usually last a few weeks, they shed all their feathers, grow pin feathers, and once the pin feathers are all gone that's when i consider the moult finished.
