I was just wondering if cucumber is healthy for Tiels to eat?:confused:

They can eat it but it has very little nutrition and is mostly just water

It can be given as an occasional treat, cucumber, Iceberg lettuce and celery are like Spike said mostly water no nutritional value.

Dooby loves cucumber, he eats all the green outside bits first. lol.

Mine LOVE cucumber..they get it as a treat once a week or so.

Just a small note- veggies like cucumber get a wax coating to make them look "better" (atleast that's what they do here). Either peel it or make sure you wash it very well.

I put some peeled cucumber in the birds layered salad this week. :D I've seen some bits nibbled so i assume they like it.
