AKC? The bird is "restered" with the American Kennel Club? Isn't that for dogs?

...Is "cocoriki" supposed to be "cockatiel" or "kakariki"? O.o

Ask her if it is named Figgy, as in the FIGment of her imagination that it is.

Bea

There's always scams based in Cameroon, and they usually involve rare, exotic birds. :p They continue to ask you to send them money for the bird, shipping, etc.

Tiki

BTW Birdieness, do you have a macaw? I saw a pic of one in the gallery, but he isn't in your sig.

no i don't have one. He is my breeders bird. I have a ton of pics of him cause i'm so inlove with it. I love the pic in my gallery. My two tiels with charlie. He considered them him babies lol.

Gotta love scamms. You would think they would change the place now that they are found out.

Tiki
01-14-2008, 07:30 PM
Aww Charlie is adorable, B&Gs are my favourite type of macaws, there is one I am re-homing for someone, her name is Grace. :)

I know a macaw who belonged to a truck driver and he would swear constantly. lol

I'ld call her out on it. I'ld say "I can make up my own birds thank you, I don't need yours"

birdieness
01-14-2008, 07:51 PM
You know, they never did email me the pics i asked for. All i asked was for more pics. Never told them i wanted the bird(more like what bird cause i'm sure there is none) or anything. Never did get them. I mean, anyone can get pics off of google. No email back yet.

and thats just one more reason if i do buy a bird off the net, it comes from my general area, No out of states, unless we've talked ALOT on the phone(like the breeder in S.C my b/f is hopefully getting his blue quakers from this summer) and If it's not in the U.S.A i won't even look at the add, since i'm in the united states, I only get birds from the united states

This reminds me of when I saw a total scam on a website, advertising a African Grey for some ridiculous amount. I told them I was interested (Obviously knowing that it was a scam) and I got this back:

Thanks for your interest in adopting my african grey and also to took her out of this deem climatic condition in this country,LOUISBURG/CAMEROON.i am here for work on for the ministry of live stock and fishery in west African to see that this spieces of bird will not be over exploited to the world.i have been in CONGO.TOGO.IVORY CAOST and now we are in LOUISBURG/CAMEROON where we will spend about 4months here,so i want my little parrot to be in a lovely and caring home and also in a home that she will not be lonely since i am always occupied with work.her description is below and if you will read her description and like her then you will have to answer the following question after the description.

my African grey is talent to mimic is not restricted to human speech; they readily and skillfully imitate many other "human" sounds like microwaves, doorbells, telephones, coffee grinders and percolators, computer modems and water faucets, to name just a few.My Grey is prized as pets because of her ability to learn to speak like humans. she is very vocal in the wild, communicating with a large repertoire of shrill whistles, squawks, and screams, while flying or perching. she often mimic other birds and mammals. This is evident in many pet parrots, as they imitate cats, chickens, owls and other domestic and wild animals.
ANSWER THE QUESTION BELOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
ARE YOU MARRIED?
HAVE YOU EVER KEEP A BIRD BEFORE?
DO YOU HAVE KID?
DID YOUR KID LOVE BIRD?
ARE YOU WILLING TO TAKE CARE OF HER?
ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY AND ADOPTION FEE OF $100?
ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY HER FLIGHT FEE DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION?
I WILL PERSONALLY HELP YOU WITH HAND BOOK AND TOY S THAT MY LIKE SO THAT SHE WILL BAKE A PERFECT PET FOR YOU.HOPE TO READ FROM YOU SOON
GOD BLESS YOU.
ROSITA LORIE

Strange, she's says shes in Cameroon as well...

Tiki

She will "bake" a perfect pet for you? How will she do that? So she'll make a dog or cat or bird in an oven for you? What an amazing bird!

Tiki

LOL! Glad she got her ad removed.

I keep seeing ads on Kijiji saying "DON'T FALL FOR THE HYACINTH SCAM" or "The Scarlet Macaws are a Scam!" very sad. :(

What I don't get is how people live with themselves scamming people like that. I am a believer in Karma. All that you do will come back to you. It might not be for a while or not in the same form but it will. Good or bad. I guess these people just don't care.
