I posted this video in my breeding thread, but I know only a few people look there (understandably) and it's too cute not to share with everyone! This video features Phoenix and Isadora aka Izzy. They are brother and sister. They are the babies of my two adult cockatiels. I've hand raised them from 14 and 10 days of age. Phoenix is now 10 weeks old and Izzy is 4 weeks old. They're from different clutches and they're the only chicks to survive from both clutches. Both babies have faced pretty big health problems, especially Izzy. Phoenix is doing pretty well and little Izzy (who is 1/3rd the weight she should be) is a little fighter so I'm hopeful.
In the video, you can see Izzy try to fly for the first time AND peck at "food" for the first time! And do things like scratch her head and follow her big brother who she loves around.
