He is trying to act feroucious and protect Dally.
Has anything changed such as: wearing clothes he never seen before, or a new nail polish color?
He sure is a handsome boy :)

Is it dark in your room or outside? I had a very feisty male that was an absolute turd after nightfall, even with indoor lighting. It was weird...he was a very cranky boy. But I agree, I think he's trying to protect Dally, who he thinks is his mate. And when he attacks her or acts mean, I think it's because he's frustrated with her, since she is still very bonded to you. And poor Dally is probably oblivious to Tsuka's affection. He wants a wifey, and she just wants to be friends lol.

dunno she follows him around a lot and he retalates for no reason at times. they never groom eachother though ive seen tsuka ask.... i guess i'll keep them separated until tsuka's through this teenage thing.
it was night when this was taken... but my camera doesnt pick up good light anhyways. nothing new except newly painted walls. went from bege to green.

I've got the same issue with my boy .. he turning to be aggressive at times trying to protect his new mate, whom I suspect is a girl. When they're on the coffee table together, he will go beserk if I try and get him or the girl to step up and I need to use a perch as he draws blood frequently and easily.
I found that dim lighting can somtimes relax my boy, but it looks like it won't work with Tsuka, given the video.
Short of seperating the two (which defeats the purpose of having two to keep each other company), does anyone know what else can be done? I've read long nights (12-14 hours) can help, my issue is if I do this then my birds will have little human interaction at all as on workdays I'm normally out of the house for around 11 hours. Will keeping the blinds shut, thus making it effectively dawn/dusk all day help at all? Are there any psychological implications of having barely any sunlight in the room during the day?

haha well guess what, my two get 12 hours each night and no help lol
i guess im just s.o.l. i think i may try putting them together again after i move... just to see. today i put tsuka in dally's cage and he started attacking her... so its likely not gonna work. i dont want to deal with more bitten toes.. did that once, dont want to do it again. tsuka seems a lot happier by himself.
