Remember what I said my dream bird was???:D I have some incredible news.. I am getting not one but... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!! Two African Congo Grey's.. I am trying not to get my hopes up.. If you all remember that guy who wasn't honest that I was going to buy birds from.. Ya I was so sad when he turned out to be a fraud and a really dishonest person.. Like I said I am trying whole heartedly not to get excited.. But its hard not to... This are the bird/birds I have always wanted!! This lady lives a state away so Bill and his buddy volunteered their time! I am paying a pretty penny for them.. But just this once I am getting me something I have always wanted!

Good luck...I hope you get them. Be aware, they might not be so tame though as they're probably a bonded pair, but who knows. You are lucky!

They area 7 years old. Yes they are very tame I got to visit them several time. Yes they come with an giant cage. Yes they are good with kids although to be safe I would never let them be unsupervised with the birds.. They spent the first 6 and half years of thier lives as part of an educational programs that went to schools and everything. Yes they are breeders for the lady to but they are super sweet and super tame. My two older kids have both got to interact for quiet some time on our visits.. This lady is only keeping a couple of birds now that she plans on retiring. I am super excited after 4 years of studying and waiting till I was ready it seems to pay off. I was opting for a baby but it seems allot of adult birds go unwanted because they arn't cute tiny babies... So thanks for everyone being excited and for the concern.

That is what I thought.. I am so excited I can't wait.. I know everyone thinks that with kids and critters I must be crazy busy but I am not I find that with my oldest in school life is pretty slow and quiet most of the day. The evenings are spent taking my kids to a few activities that they are in. The days are spent with my kids and critters. Loving them and spending time with all. I am really blessed my kids are very mellow and sweet! The critters get attention even of my tiels even get out of cage time all day long unless I need to go somewhere. I really enjoy and love every minute of my time even on those rare days when life is slightly chaotic..

African Greys are amazing! I think their little baby's are adorable, but I would take an adult or a little baby.
I hope you get them, you'll be quite busy!
