This is Arnie meeting the betta fish I just bought...
she's not sure what to do with herself, she really wants her
Yummy, so she tries to scare them away. Poor fish!

Arnie wouldn't let much come between her and her Yummy. She loves her food. She's always getting around with some sort of residue on her face - the little grot! I get really nervous when she eats berries that she'll be permanently stained. Thanks Lindsey - I actually took a few of the plants/ornaments out of the bowls because it was way too crowded.

Sounds like Snowball...he gets everything stuck to his face the little pig! Yesterday my hubby came downstairs whining because Snowball was covered in pink because he'd been rubbing up against the cuttlebone as he eats it, the goofball! She was very determined to get that food wasn't she?

Just as a side, Arnie did the same wing display to my boyfriend today. She's his favourite but she didn't want kisses from him this afternoon (due to me having to hold her down and remove some string wrapped around her foot, she was a bit nippy all day after that and didn't want to be touched) but he persisted harrassing her and they ended up fighting (he squabbles with her like another bird, it's so weird) and she ended up displaying her wings and growling at him with her beak open. She was promptly told not to speak to him like that and put back in the cage. But the door was open so she just jumped out and came back to him like nothing happened. <_<

My hubby argues with Fuzzy like he's another bird and they only ever argue over ME! I don't know what it is but when Fuzzy is on my shoulder my hubby wants to put his head there and he'll try and Fuzzy will hiss and pretend to peck at him. My hubby will hiss back and try to nudge him away with his nose. When he gets tired of the game he just picks Fuzzy up and moves him although this doesn't last for long because Fuzzy comes right back he's so persistent! Then he'll look at me with the "mom make that big man get out of my SPOT!" look and want cuddles with me but never my hubby! They're so funny sometimes, but Arnie has such an attitude WOW!

She does, she does... she's accustomed to having things her way (being an only tiel), and being really bossy. She's the Veruca Salt of tiels. She has no problem telling us off and being a little cow and next thing she's wondering why we've left her alone in the room. I tell her if she can't play nice, then I want nothing to do with her - she can play by herself (which, she sometimes does, quite happily >.<)

Kind of a bit worried how she'll take to the second tiel.
