Well today simba passed away in the vets office, due to loss of blood, he was fine at 11pm when i fed the babies, and i noticed at 7 am that he was bleeding so we took him to the vet but it wasnt in time, were waiting on the vet to let us know the cause of the bleeding.

not a broken blood feather, it was a slice not a bite so she's doing an autopsie to see what was going on.

Im heart broken with simba, but nala is breaking my heart as she calls for her mate. I dont know what to do for her, they bred twice so she's staying in the breeding cage, ive got a pair set up if she decides to lay eggs so that they can foster, but its killing me not to beable to help her with her grief.

well the vet just called, after scrubbing him down and inspecting the wing, it seams that simba bled to death from a small slice on his wing no bigger than a grain of rice, so i warn you all if your birds have blood on wings and its not a blood feather get them to the vet asap.

Oh no, I'm so very sorry for your loss  that was so sudden, sad that such a small little cut could have such devastating effect, goes to show how sensitive these little guys are, I appreciate the warning. I really hope Nala will be ok soon as well.
