It is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you all that the little cockatiel girl that I was going to be brining home next Sunday has passed away today. I got a call from the breeder and she said the little one had gotten sick yesterday, was being treated, but was found dead in her cage this afternoon. I only got to spend 30 mins total with this little girl and I'm still weeping as if I'd had her for years. She was just so sweet...

That is terrible :( If you are still up to get another baby. I would find a different breeder.

I'm really sorry-it just wasn't meant to be.

If you are still up to get another baby. I would find a different breeder.

I agree.

yeah finding another breeder seems like your best option....
as much as it is terrible to loose a little one, its probably for the best that you did not get her... it is lucky(but not good) that she passed away before coming to you, as she possibly could have made all your other birds sick!
i only ever go to reliable sources, and i spend MORE than enough money on vet trips before even purchasing new birds... i have 20 birds and it is no where near worth it to risk introducing a sick bird!

I'm sure there are alot more but here are some that are registered with the National Cockatiel Society. I'm not familiar with your area though..http://www.cockatiel.org/breeders.html

I'm so sorry that the little girl you had your heart set on passed away. :( In a way it's probably lucky that her illness showed up before she came home, because it would've been a hundred times harder to lose her just after getting her home. *hugs*

I am sorry to hear that the cockatiel you were planning on getting has passed away:( But it was lucky that she didn't come home first or that would be even more heart breaking:cry:

RIP:(
