Hi everyone ! :D

New to the 'tiel world, i've had little Kirby for about a week now (he's my first) and i've loved every minute since i got him.

At first (obviously) he didn't like my at all lol, hissing and nipping. a Day later i had him eating out the palm of my hand, literally :cool:

He's warmed up very quickly and loves to stomp around on my desk while i work (IT student).

He has a nice big cage with tonnes of toys and different kinds of perches, and he loves the grape :p

Oh ok. They acctually don't need any. In fact, it's not recommended for them. You can just use black and white newspaper or papertowels as liner for the cage.

I give my tiel and budgie grit, I know it was found that they don't need it, but the breeder gave it too his, so he advised us too keep giving it too them, because if we stopped giving it to them, after there first few weeks of eating it, they may not be able to digest as good as they could when they had grit, so they still have it ! :D

hey, welcome to the forums!
i give my guys grit! (the tiels and the budgies)
but only fine shell grit, with bits of charcoal through it...
at the very least, it gives them something to pick through ;)
