Just a suggestion, could a thread be locked after it hasn't been replied to for say, two months? I've noticed lately there have been threads revived after lying dormant for a long while. If they were locked, nobody could revive them, but they would still be there for reference.
I'm wondering if there's a way we could set it up to automatically close threads after they've not been replied to for a certain amount of time. We'll see what Dave says. :)

That is a good idea, Dave to the rescue again:rolleyes: LOL!
Okay, all threads with two months of inactivity will be closed. Is that too long, too short?
Also, sticky threads are exempt.

I was thinking maybe two months was to long? most posts get replied to pretty quickly after a month if it hasn't been replied to it would be pretty much dead.
I think two months is ok, people might come back to update the thread after a few weeks. :) It's good that sticky threads are exempt.

I think two months is good. It gives abit of time for new people to post in it. Instead of having to make another thread with the same topic

I think 2 months is fine, when you say closed, can you still open them and read them ?? :D
Thanks Sophia x
Yes, we can still re-open them if the need arises. :)

And yes, you can read any thread that's closed so they'll be there for information. You just can't add new posts.
