Ermm... it's tough but I'll have to say melted chocolate and anything nice to dip in it.
Hmmm... I've never heard of hot chips. My comfort food is whatever my mom makes for dinner. I live far away from her now so it is a real treat when I can get a home-cooked meal. Her baked chicken is my favorite though.

I don't really have a comfort food, but some of the ones suggested sound really yummy I could go for some chicken and dumplings :D and then top it off with whoever said melted chocolate and anything  its been a long time since I have had a chocolate fondue with some nice fruit to dip in

We call those...crisps.
Chips to us are fries to you.
Now, comfort food.....well, I think toast does it for me, cold, burnt toast with butter on.

Some people don't eat gelatine, since it is made out of boiled animal skin and bones :o
