goodbye my little feathered beauty

as i said before theo wasn't very well and that showed tonight. i woke up to check on him to find him dead on the bottom of his cage. what makes me slightly happier about his death is that he went peacefully in his sleep and i didnt have to make the traumatic visit to the vets to have him put down. although i would love to have another cockatiel i dont think i can bring myself to get another one for years to come. theo was one of a kind. he was honestly the funniest thing ever, he used to blow kisses and wolf whistle at me and i would often ask his opinion on this and it almost seemed like he cared. he used to comfort me when i was upset, even though he was a known biter he used to come over and sit on my shoulder and let me talk to him. when i was around 10 or 11 when i first got him i used to read to him and he used to sit and listen. he was one of the best friends ive ever i had and im sad to see him go :(

RIP theo, how old was he? he sounds like he was very cheeky. :) It was his time to go, so hopefully you can open your heart to another tiel sometime. They brighten up your life don't they?

they really do, he used to make me smile so much. he was 6 but has been ill and on antibiotics, the vet gave him an injection the otherday and he must have reacted badly too it as he hadn't been able to climb around his cage. I just made sure he was comfy and gave him all the love i could on his last day ;( me and my family are gonna give him a good send off tomorrow because not only did he touch me but he touched my whole family even though he was my bird :3

I'm so sorry you have lost your precious Theo! It will take a while to grieve your loss. You have wonderful memories tucked inside your heart to always remember. I hope that one day you will decide to find another tiel. You will know when and if you are ready to do so. Tiels are very special fids. They light up the lives of so many people. Fly High Theo!!
