Archie Bird has just passed, she was about 7/8 years old. She had not been well following a lot of egg laying last year, but she finally stopped at the start of the year.. just a little too late :( She was constantly in and out of the aviary whilst we tried to get her back to full health. I took her out again on Sunday and had been sitting with her wrapped in a tea towel, on top of a warm hot water bottle but tonight it was clear she had had enough.

I'm glad she got the comfort of seeing out her little life in a little warmth and comfort, n had a few tickles as she passed. She's the 3rd bird we've lost this year, now we have only 4 birds left. She was a beautiful little bird with a quirky character, always fun to watch her playing about.

Im sorry. I now know what it feels like to loose a cockatiel and it is awful.
