Spike decided to jump on my key board. His toe got stuck :( And he scraped the skin on one toe  It is not bleeding but it is a good bit of skin scraped up :( Do you think it should heal ok? Or does he need some antibiotic cream for it from the vet? He is making little pain noises :( I put him on the floor to make sure he could walk ok. So I don't think he broke any toes. Should I just wait a few days to see how he is? Right now he is preening in his cage.

Poor Spike :( I would give it a day or two, just make sure it doesn't swell or get really red and he should be ok.

He sticks his foot up in his feathers :( I will give it a few days. He is having a really bad week :(

I was just thinking that poor Spike hopefully this week ends quickly and he has a better one next week.
Poor little baby! He must be having a clumpsy tiel week. If you think he needs it you can coat it lightly with a little cream like neosporin. The vet had me do that when Ziggy was all banged up.

Thanks for the tip :) He took a while to get comfortable in his cage, but I think he has settled in for the night :)
My guys seem to do that occasionally too, they jump around like something's tried to murder them but go back to normal after a short while. I think Spike will be fine.

Spike seems alot better today :D He is now do do doing :p Iam going to keep an eye on the toe still. It looks the someone tried to grab a hunk of his skin under is toe and pulled it down ( the little bit of skin just before the toenail) But so far today he does not seem to care :)

Glad to hear that Spike is doing better.
Maybe it was more the trauma than anything else?
I hope he has a better week.

I came home from work and now there is a bit of a cut on the top of his same toe :( Iam going to keep an eye on it. I don't know if he picked it or scraped it on his cage bars

Maybe the Neosporin like Aly suggested would help.
Poor little guy.
Just wash the area lightly with some warm water and dry it. Then apply a little neosporin to help it heal faster and prevent infection.

If he will let you wash it, then dry it, then put cream on it! I know Earl wouldn't he would fly off, or if I had him in a towel, he would probably bite me through it! :)
Hope Spike gets better!

I was wondering what an infected cut looks like on a tiel? Is it yellow like people get sometimes? Iam worried about him scratching himself and them preening neosporin off his feathers. I might call the vet tommorow and ask some questions. It looks sore but Spike does not seem to even remember that there are two cuts on his toe.
