I bought Kiki, a 6 month old lutino male 9-10 weeks back and a partner for him, Jenny, a wild type female 8 months old 3 weeks after that.

They were the cutest pets, calling out to my mother and me when we went out from the room, eating titbits from our hands...i mean as adorable as any cockatiel can be. They also used to call out to each other when one of them wandered into another room or even onto another corner of the same room.

Two days back we returned home to find Kiki dead on the floor near a wall. He had a small wound above his left eye. He had shown no signs of illness before that. I caught a mouse in the house and had rat droppings on the room floor. My heart shudders as i imagine poor Kiki getting terrified on seeing a mouse and run into a wall... Jenny who's been whimpering since then, regularly calls out aloud and searches for Kiki in the house. She isnt eating much either Hope she gets over the loss.

Rest in peace my little friend.
