Omg it is a competition to see who has the silliest tiel, not who has written the most posts, I only just joined, would be nice to give new people chance to settle in for a few days before u analyse the statistics of how many posts they have written to determine if they are worthy enough to enter a competition, I think you are a bit strange, let bones enjoy his limelight!

The info in the link is not mandatory but it helps other members get to know you and for you to join in. When exploring the UserCP as you update your profile you could use the pix of your tiel as an avatar or in your signature (resized if needed)

I think that people participate in forums in different ways, some people use forums like this to gain information not to give information. You, i see, are a breeder, so i am sure you have much more to say than i do. I have one Cockatiel, our first, so have very little experience to talk about on these forums. i feel very strongly that just because you have 6662 posts and i only have 4 shouldn't be a barrier to entering a cockatiel of the month competition. Don't you think it is a good way to get new people involved, a bit of light hearted fun that allows new people to take their first tentative steps and make new links with new poeople. I feel i am an active member of the community already because i have read lots of useful information on this website, but i don't, as of yet have anything to talk about.

I hope you'll stick around the forum and continue to read, and maybe start participating more. You don't seem to be shy, and there's really no reason to be timid on this board anyway. We don't always agree and sometimes people have strong opinions, but at the bottom of it all we want our birds to be happy and healthy, and that's why we're here.

I really don't think srtiels comment was directed at you. I'm sorry that this got out of hand, but I think srtiels was trying to point this out to the person who is in charge of the Cockatiel Of The Month contest. I appreciate the fact that you are trying to be part of the forum, but it helps to fill out your profile information (if you have not done so by now) by clicking "User CP." Also, a good general part of the forum you can participate that often requires little knowledge of cockatiels is "Cockatiel Talk" and "Cockatiel Pictures." a good place for you to start is in Introductions and then you might move over and post more cute pictures of Bones in the Pictures section.

I hope you choose to stay with us rather than leaving because of a minor disagreement.

Very very cute photo, dinopod180. I'm jealous! I hardly have any photos of me and Sunny because I live with my dad only (well actually HE is living with ME, just for the record :p ) and I don't really have anyone in the family to snap photos of me and Sunny interacting. I think I only have 1 photo of us, only because one time a friend/colleague dropped by and was crazy about Sunny so she kept snapping photos of everyone with Sunny and that is why I now have 1 photo of me and Sunny together. :) Maybe one day I should just dish out some money and hire a professional photographer for a day to take a bunch of photos of me and Sunny or something. Then maybe I'd actually have some good ones to enter into the Cockatiel of the Month contests! :D Or maybe I could cheat and use Photoshop to manipulate some photos??? Just kidding, just kidding. :p

I hope this doesn't detract away from the fact that its a great picture, i mean, he is drinking out of a straw for goodness sake, surely with a picture like that bones stands a chance of being the next prime minister let alone tiel of the month! poor bones has no idea of the worldwide debate he has caused!
