He was a grey doing training. I'm sure there will be more info on him once they find out what happened.


Dr. Pepperberg purchased Alex from a Chicago pet store in June, 1977. He can label seven colors, is learning the alphabet and can count up to six objects. Alex is also working on identifying objects from photographs. Alex likes cardboard boxes, keychains, and corks.

I have watched basically all the video's on him and he is such a talented parrot. This is so sad, he died so young :(:( RIP Alex, you beautiful boy :(

Awwww, that's such a shame. Although I've never heard of Alex before, he sounds like he was quite a character. It was so sudden as well.
