Does anybody no Bonnie's species we rescued her as she was being picked on by 2 macaws but we dont no what she is or even if she is a she or how old she is:blush:

Thanks but all of the plain parakeets I have looked at dont have the peach and blacky blueie colour underneath and in the wings.Her legs look like she has peach socks on lol:D she is so cute and loverble its just a shame we dont no what she is:(
I might have a bit of a search when i get back from school, if someone else hasn't solved the mystery. :D She's very pretty!

I wil try and get some upclose ones so you can see the colours better that photo was taken not long after we had got her thats why she is looking a little shabby bless her :)

I knows =D She is a barraband parakeet (asked on another forum and this is what they all came down to)
Also, i think she needs to see a vet. Her beak looks very overgrown

yea she is indeed a SHE. males have yellow and red on there heads while females only have green with a little red plumage!

Dont worry she sees a vet every month to get her beak and nails trimed bacause they grow so fast and it stops her from moving around the cage properly as she has some toes missing that 2 macaws decided they didnt want her to have.My mum and dad are her third parents as her first owners had her in a budgie cage and they pulled all her feathers out how horrible and evil can you get.My aunties friend rescued her but the macaws picked on her and pulled her nails off.Thanks for finding out what she is ive been looking for ages and because the vet that does her nails and beak is not an avian vet she did not no I will post a photo later of how healthy she looks now im so proud of her lol
