Submit A Theme Idea

Each month i try to think up an interesting theme idea for the COTM contest, but it's tricky sometimes. :p So i would LOVE to hear any great idea's you might have! I've been avoiding seasonal themes as we are all around the world here at Talk Tiels, and so our seasons are at different times.

How about "I hope no ones looking" basically them being caught doing something they shouldnt I dont no has anyone else got any ideas??:confused:

"tiels gone bad" - the normally good ones caught doing something bad

"rain drops falling on my head'' - shower / bath or other wise getting clean with water/food pictures

"Family photo" - Tiels with thier other birdy family Rather its more tiels, budgies, etc.

"Sweet hearts" - Pictures of tiels with thier sweeties (rather it's another tiel, dog, budgie etc.) because we know some on species blind and don't realize thier sweeties aren't the same type as they are

Tiels in Theater - This would be getting a photo of the tiel where it looks like it could be some famous scene of a movie or TV show...You might even be able to use clip art to add hats or props!

Scratching
if two or more tiels: Syncronized "x"
Bat wings (when they hang upside down wings fully spread)
Big Yawns, Hissing, etc

Those are all great ideas.


*What about a specific food? Something messy like sweet potato. Or a strawberry festival.
* "Tiel Tantrums" : When they are fussing they make some great faces.
* Tiel with a specific flower.
* Tiel photo with a name of a song that would compliment the photo.
* "Tiels on the Move" : A picture of Tiel sitting in a car, buggy, or other form of transportation.

I hope these aren't too corny.

'Tiel Gymnastics' - get a pic of your 'tiel climbing a rope ladder, doing the splits (from a perch to the food bowl for example), hanging from the roof of its' cage using just its beak, etc, etc. The possibilities are endless, and could be hilarious if you have a camera on hand at the time.

Last night, Lulu did some fancy acrobatics in her cage.

Which made me wonder. Is there a cockatial acrobatics championship out there?

I couldn't get a picture because she was moving too fast.

That brings me to the idea.

There is no list of the themes that have already been done, everyone put their ideas in this thread and then the themes were picked from the ideas.

How about a travel theme?

IE: Pictures of your cockatiel in places where they have traveled. Our little bird has been to six states and has enjoyed about 4,500 miles in the car so far. We have pictures of her from all over the place!

I just got an idea after watching my little 'diva' Indian Ringneck.
How about a Beauty Pageant theme like Toddlers and Tiaras - 'Glitz Cockatiel Pageant'
People could submit entries in one of 3 categories:
Beauty,
Talent,
Outfit of Choice.

Beauty would be glitzy, cockatiel with 'makeup' LOL
Talent would be catching them doing something amazing or cute
Outfit of Choice would be adorning the bird with something or placing the bird in a cute setting.
