Hello everyone!

As you know (I had a thread up a while ago) I setup a 10g tank with 2 red and white fantail goldfish, named Bubbles (male) and Ruby (female).

Sadly, Bubbles died the other day (from swim bladder disease. Which is when the fish consume and swallow air, which makes them lose their navigational instruments and lose balance. After a while it damages their insides and they die :( ) so today I went out to get Ruby some freinds!

I found a TON of goldies to choose from, and many were on sale prices this month, so I bought 2 more!

I bought a 4" red and white Ryukin named Marlin and a 2" calico telescope eye named Dori. Together they only cost $15 which was awsome! :D

I also changed Ruby's name to Nemo... so I now have Nemo, Marlin, and Dori! They are such a cute happy family already and I have taken over 210 pictures already  I will narrow down my favourite soon and post pics of them. They are adorable!

Just thought I'd let you know how they were doing and give an update on my new buddies :)

Thanks, and I uploaded the pics! Here are the first bunch!

Nemo - mostly white with some red (medium sized) oranda
Marlin - mostly red with some white (large sized) ryukin
Dori - calico spotted (smallest of the three) telescope eye

Ruby and Dori ^

Last month I changed the tank around. I always wanted to have a room dividing tank, so insetad of having the tank how it was (and how most tanks are, with their long sides against walls and the short side walls on the side) I decided to turn the tank around. So the previous left side wall, is now facing my bedroom wall. Then the 2 long tnak sides, now face out. So the only side not visible is the back (which was the previous left side). I got this idea from saltwater fish tanks, many people like to see more in the tank, and having 3 sides open makes this work out great! :D
I probabl explained it really bad, so here are pics of what I mean...

The tank shots:

the side you see when you walk in the room ^

same shot as above pic ^

the same way, just different angle... with my desk in the background ^

now the view I see from my desk (excuse the mess) ^

I love it this way, it gives the tank a more open and bigger feel, plus it divides my desk area from my entrance part of my room. It feels like a dentist office now, as they usually have aquariums used as dividers (like in Finding Nemo) ;)

Enjoy :)

ps- you will also notice how I re-aquascaped the tank! I got rid of the blue gravel, swapped in natural pea gravel, and made the tank look more realistic. I find this way the fishes natural colours jump out more, and they seem brighter, as they would in the wild :) I also made them a cave, which they love! You can see in the last few pics only Marlin is visible, as Dori and Nemo were in the cave resting on the tank floor

It really does look like an office! Very pretty fish too, atleast you can sit there and watch them if you get bored or while you're on the comp. :p

haha yeah it does! I love it :p hehe

Yeah, that was the point! It is a perfect spot to watch at. Its especially good if my computer freezes, and I get mad. I just look to the right and watch my lil guy's swimmin' around. It's very handy on days like today, when my computer takes 10 minutes to turn on  I guess its time to clean files out lol.

Yeah I felt so bad and helpless for him :(

Thats funny about black moore's! I almost bought a big one instead of Dori today, but fell in love with her patterns and cute personality (always on the move) ;)

Thanks guys, I really miss Bubbles :( But I am glad he is not suffering anymore, and Nemo (formerly Ruby) has freinds now. So shes happy! :)

For these pics I just used my Olympus FE-220 which is 7.1mgpxl. I took many more new ones this morning during feeding time so I might post them up ;)
