View Full Version : Lovebird Bird-Sitting
For this week i'm bird-sitting my friends lovebird. :p He's really cute, but i hate the noise and the beak is scary. But, yesterday while i was playing with him, he actually let me give him head scratches. I was so pleased cause he's usually a psycho little guy.
Aww- is that the one that was...a little neglected- I remember you mentioning something like that in TB I think. Their beak is a little scary-esspecially when ur not familiar with the bird..I'm sure he'll love it at your place though
Yeah, his cage is a lot better now. Not as clean as i would keep it, but it's not too bad.
That's good to hear- are you a clean freak though? I think I am-esspecially with the birds. I went to other people's houses and I always look at their cages. They never seem clean enough or how I would keep them...

My neighbour has a lovebird...it is very loud for such a small bird.
They are unbelievably loud, it's an awful high pitched sound they make too. If only they had a mute button...

I have 2 lovebirds. One of Monkey's favorite things to do is sit on my shoulder and scream in my ear! My ear will ring for a few minutes. But on the other hand, he is a doll baby. He has the habit of coming over to me when I am trying to take a nap and crawl under the covers for a few last minute scritches. I am still trying to work with Peepers. She is still at the stage where all she wants to do is bite me anytime I am in the vicinity of her cage.

LOL!! Birds are easy, new toys and a seed stick. Dogs are easy too, new toys and treats. I suppose the same could be said for a cat ... but a fish!! LOL!!
