View Full Version : I'm Loving These Bargains
Today was a good day for me while i was shopping. I found a movie called Life As A House, which i hired and watched for the first time last week, for just $7 in the cheap bin at one of the major music/game/dvd stores at the mall. I was so happy! :D I might go back and get a copy for a friend of mine for xmas, she loves it too. We also found the original Hairspray movie which we've been looking for since seeing the new one at the movies. I hadn't seen it cheaper than about $20 but we found it for $12. :D That should keep me occupied this weekend.

Definitely sounds good, mmmmm....popcorn with butter. :p I have a huge collection of DVDs which i always buy when they're in the cheap bin. Most cost me $10-$15, any more expensive and i feel like i'm paying too much. $7 was just too good a find to pass up, i've never come across a GOOD movie that cheap before!
Save some popcorn for the tiels..minus the butter and salt of course- hope you enjoy it- I don't have the patience for movies- there's very few I watched from start to finish..hehe- the ones I did watch I don't remember their names..hehe..issues- I know.

You sounds just like dad. He never watches a movie from start to finish, unless of course he's paid to see it at the cinema. :p

I will watch any movie as long as its a horror flick yeah I know I am a weirdo :p I am not really into the comedies or the mushy ones.
The mushy ones are my favourites. :p I did watch a really gross thriller the other day, The Hitcher. I'd seen the original one, and my friend and I hired the new one. Lots of blood and guts, very gross. I felt a little sick after seeing it actually.

That one is tame compared to some of them :p I watched Hostel recently and that was GROSS lots of blood and body parts  some of it is a little to much even for me :D
I just wanted to say something- it's funny how you Aussies use hired- we say rented. We use hire for a driver or contractor but rent for a movie. hehe

We rent a house, but hire a movie. :p We would also hire a driver or contractor.
My movie weekend has been put on hold. Overwhelming guilt has caused me to work on assignments instead.

Yeah, we RENT a movie as well. lol, we hire cars or machinery.
I've got hundreds of DVD's but I have to admit, most of mine are Disney....I confess. I'm a Disney freak. I've got all the classics and a few besides. I've found a brilliant way to keep Dooby company when we go out as well. I turn my monitor around so that he can see the screen, then I put a Disney DVD on and he sits in his cage and watches a movie! Now, that's spoilt........psst, don't tell him about the popcorn, he doesn't know it's the law, you HAVE to eat popcorn when watching a film. :D
Disney DVDs are awesome. They're hard to get here though. They bring them out a few at a time and at full price ($35), then they make them only available for a limited time.

I love my bargains as well LOL!! Dad does this thing where you pay something like £3.99 a month to rent out any DVDs you would like, its quite good. They have such a variety, I ordered Mr.Beans Holiday. I don't know if anyone in other countries has heard of Mr Bean, but he's the best. too funny!! :D
