I don't even know how this happened. I think mabie he flew off his cage and was going to hit somthing so he put up the landing gear but was coming in to fast and bent his toe backwards and broke it. He was in very bad shock so I wrap him in a towel with a hot water bottle to keep him warm and took him to the vet. the vet said that there isn't to much they can do for a broken toe. She gave me some pain meds for him and we went home. I put a heating pad under his cage and cover three sides to keep the warmth in. Because of being in shock I needed to keep him warm. Then I lowered all his perches and food dishes so he wouldn't have to climb and I put a small cardboard box in his cage with some paper towels so if he wanted to rest his good leg he could lay down. If any body else has any sugestions on how to make him more comfortable please tell me. I'm so worried about the poor little fella.:love:

Aww, poor boy. It sounds like you're doing everything right for him. Maybe put some millet in his cage, it's a good comfort food for most birds.

Yea good Idea mabie I'll make an omlette for him with some broccoli and a tiny bit of cheese my birds usually love warm soft foods and mabie with the extra calsium from the cheese and broccoli it will help him heal faster.
