and now ALL the coconut trees around the neighborhood...there is seriously an abundance of coconuts everywhere..!

I just find it fascinating that you have all these exotic things growing where you live. We get nothing more exotic than apples here. lol.

Just a thought, would that tree be of a pineapple family?

Not often..heh..I'm sure it's happen. :rolleyes: People ussually have some come and get them down with a pole for free- the guy leaves you a few coconuts and takes the rest as exchange for the service. It's a good idea to get them down before a hurricane and as soon as they are ripe or they would be falling everywhere..lol

Nah..I don't think it's anything like a pineappel...it's not edible at all...just decoration and the inside is kind of hollow...I wish I knew what it was..it looks nice.
I love having all these tropical things around too...bananas, mangoes, coconuts, starfruit, pommel, and plain old oranges..hehe


Oh, and yes, tiels can have coconut- mine love it.
