oh- I wouldn't dare pay for anything-that's why I emailed them...I'm really weary about things like that. I wish I could find some really legitimate contests...

They are few and far between aren't they, it seems like everyone is out for money these days.

One good think though is they didn't ask you to buy anything like they did others so maybe they have changed there ways?

I doubt it...they said I still qualify but I guess it's a scam?

I don't know maybe its for real, I have just read alot of bad stuff about them it seems like everyone that sent a photo got the same letter from them but most were asked to buy the book to see there photo published.

Oh no...no worries. I just kind of got a little too excited..I'm ussually more skeptical about things like that.

Yea- it's pretty hard to find a real one..:o I'm still looking for some coming from big companies like kodak,etc...no luck so far..

Thank you Rosie. You're so nice.:) I tried picture.com and it's the same people...wanting you to buy something. The 1st one I'll try although I'm weary. It says two free uploads...that means after that you'd have to paY? I don't think I'm mind paying a small fee if I knew for sure I'd win...but...

Ok...so I looked over the Forest Wonder link and looked at their recommended sites. I looked at all but this one really stood out: http://www.naturesbestmagazine.com/pdf/OceanViews08Guidelines.pdf This is going to sound silly but I am clueless when it comes to photography talk-if anyone can help me decipher the guidelines on this I would really appreciate it!!!Natures Best has alot more contest but this contest will really fit this picture. The deadline is in December so I'll be sending it in soon. Hopefully it's strong enough..:rolleyes:

I am going to look at the guidelines, thats a really nice picture there Aly I really like it

There is a 50.00 us entrance fee
You have to submit them on a cd or dvd
If you look at what images there looking for I don't think that picture would qualify

Well from what i can gather, you would pretty much want to be using a DSLR camera to enter that, the image size and resolution for final judging is much much higher than what you could get out of a point and shoot. I could be wrong though.

Thats what I was getting well sort of anyways...lol I didn't know what kind of camera but it seemed a little more technical ;)
