I would say budgies, but budgies are quite aggresive, especially during the breeding season. If you are to choose budgies, then you will need approx 2 nestboxes between each pair otherwise they will fight about the "desirable" nestboxes. So you could chose budgies, but you'll need a few boxes. I would chose something a bit simplier to breed such as canaries or finches or somekind, but its up to you. Remember to do your research though, which I'm sure you will. :)

I haven't done any breeding myself but I have read the top birds that people breed are
budgies cockatiels lovebird finches and canary's I guess they are among some of the easiest to breed.

yep ive heard the same, also pigeons are easy to breed but im not really a pigeon fan because i like colorful birds.
It depends on what you like since they will be your birds. I say pick a few kinds, learn all you can about them and then take it from there.

thanks for the tip :)
If you are wanting to actually breed the birds IN the aviary, don't go for budgies. They're so aggressive and you will more than likely end up with a lot of blood and heart ache trying to get them to breed peacefully. I've heard tiels are more peaceful, so perhaps they're worth looking into. Remember that after the first breeding season you will have related birds, which will make colony breeding after that impossible due to the chance of inbreeding.
A less stressful way to get into breeding birds would be to build the aviary, but also invest in a few breeding cages. You can have your flock of birds in the aviary, and separate individual pairs into the cages. :) This means no inbreeding, no youngsters breeding, no fights and you can pick and choose who to pair up giving you greater control of the results. :D

cool was it hard to get them to breed and to rear them?
Nope not hard at all and they were easy to hand feed and wean as well. I just put the nest box in and they knew what to do from there.
