Tropical Storm Noel

Well...hurricane season has been REALLY slow this year...but we still have a month before it's over. It's DEAD CALM outside this morning which makes me think the weather channel people are right and the storm off shore is coming this way. It really shouldn't be too nasty out, the only thing I'm afraid off with storms is the posibility of tornadoes.:eek: Either way, it's now 6:30 am, it's dead calm and we're suppose to start feeling the storm in the next 2 hrs till mid afternoon. We'll see how it turns out.:rolleyes:

Ok..so they said it's suppose to hit southeast florida with the outter bands...so lots of wind, rain, thunder and hopefully no tornadoes. They said in the Carribbean it's killed over 80 people already..and this is not even a hurricane!

wow. thats pretty scary. Glad we only get the tail end of those. Those are bad enough as is aswell. Such strong winds and soo much rain

It's about 10am now and it's still dead quiet out- creepy- no birds this morning by the lake, no bugs..no wind. Everything is still. The budgies and tiels are super noisy this morning too...(headache):rolleyes:

I was reading last night that its suppose to hit southeast Florida, Sad whats happened in the Caribbean I was reading how mothers couldn't hold all there kids and had to make choices on which one's to save and the others got swept away it broke my heart to read it as a mother I can't even imagine having to make that decision. If it hits Aly I hope its not to bad be safe ;)

You must be so use to it by now, I remember I was in Florida years ago and we had a couple of days of bad weather and so much rain and wind it was abit scarey for me when your not use to it ;)

Are hurricanes just part of regular life there? :p You don't sound awfully worried. I'd be building a fortress and hiding under my doona, hugging a pillow and rocking back and forth. LOL!!!

It's really something you get really use to- esspecially southeast Florida. It passed and now it's a hurricane out in the Atlantic. There were 150 deaths! in the Caribbean (ALOT for a tropical storm)... WE got some strong gusts and fast moving showers but it didnt last long at all. We have one more month before the season is over...

Same, I'm glad I'm in the UK- no tornadoes, no hurricanes, no big storms...all peace and quiet, yeah right!! :p
