November COTM Entries

This month i think we might try a bit of a harder theme - Big Beaks!! I want to see photos of your tiels with their beaks wide open. :D

As usual please keep your entries under 500x500 pixels - there's a pinned thread in the pictures forum which tells you how to do that if you're not sure.

And i'll close the entries on the 25th November, so that we can vote for a winner before December.

And a little extra bit of info, just in case you need time to prepare and get some photos. Next month we will have a Christmas theme! ;) So it might be the time to get your tiels used to the chrissie decorations so they don't freak out when you're trying to get them to pose next to those strange colourful looking things.

This one is going to be hard, I don't think i've ever taken a pic of any of my tiels with their beaks open lol I have with the budgies but that doesn't count :P

I know what I'll be working on later lol

Oh no a hard one, I think I have only ever see Spike open his beak like five times. Unless he is trying to peck at my Mom hmmmm I think I just got an idea :p

Here's a tip, tickling their ears makes them yawn - so if they like head scratches you can use that to help get a photo. :p

Here is Toby as I got him either yawning, or clearing out his 'throat'....or what's that called? Where they hold their food? I'm drawing a blank....(I'm sure it will come to me once I post this....)
He kept doing it....and I took a few pics...but they all came out pretty blurry..So hope this works :)

Adjusting their crop :) The crop is where the food is stored and the constant "yawning" one after another is them adjusting it :)

im entering my boyfriends bird Elly into the contest. this photo is from halloween night when baby shadow was born. she was kinda mad about the pic, but i got it, shes all puffed up :), and look closely you can see the baby :)

ehhh her beak is kinda open , couldnt find many pics :(
