I'm not exactly a new member, but I have been away for a while so I thought that I would reintroduce myself:blush:
I started out here with only 2 cockatiels that I had purchased as rescues. They were Rocky and Stella. I had hoped to breed them but they never took to each other that way.
We were then joined by ButterBall, Mr. Maggie and just recently Harley. Rocky no longer lives with us as he fell in love with my friends cockatiel Lexi while she was staying with us. I couldn't tear them apart so I let him go home with her. They have been very Happy, and just this week laid their first 2 eggs. I am so excited! I visit everyday and check on them. I can't wait for the babies!
Harley is a rescue, I bought him to save him. He is 12 yrs. and bumped around because of his "behavior". The poor thing is far from tame, in fact I would rather get bitten by our amazon than him:wacko:! So he has a safe home with no pressures now. We'll love him no matter what. Although he will eat from my hand, allow me to stroke him with a feather and step up on to a stick. He is also very vocal.:D
