Hello Everyone!
I have 2 Cockatiels. I just got my 2ed Teil last week. Both are rescues as I'm a ferm beliver in Rescue first.
I rescued Bobbie July 2008 for free as his owners wanted someone they trusted & could keep in contact with. He is believed to be a 7yr old, Pied Male Cockatiel (he was DNA tested by his old owners). His past owners were ok with him (co-workers), but they rescued him & the rescue believed he was abused. He is not tame & has a horrid fear of hands. If I place my hands behind my back he is calm & I can touch him with my nose. Other wise he wants to rip my fingers off.
I rescued Cuddles last week for free from a man who felt sorry for her & knew she needed special care due to her messed up wing. She is believed to be a 2yr old, Grey female, but I think she might be younger then that (researching that still). She has a lovely temper & peeps, unlike mr. loudmouth :D
She is slightly disabled.
She is missing most of her 2 rear toes, & 1 wing is a horrid mess. The man who rescued her said she got out of her old owners cage in the basement at night & slammed into a wall causing the wing issue. She doesn't seem to be in any pain at all, just some discomfort. Once she settles down more, I plan to take a closer look at the wing as it just looks like some important feathers are out of place. If its perm. damage thats ok, shes still pretty & has a safe home with me.
She gets a long great with my dog. My dog did her usual snoving her nose into the chest feathers for a good long sniff. Cuddles just looked at her & didn't have a care in the world. Bobbie likes the dog too. He just wasn't as accepting to her sniffs at first, but now he doesn't have a care in the would & will usually talk to her.

1x Common Snapping Turtle 9yrs old - Rescued
1x Red Eared Slider Turtle 17yrs old - Rescued
1x Rose Hair Tarantula
1x 17" Black Shark - Rescued
2x 8" or so Common Plecos - Rescued
2x 4" Silver Dollars
4x Black Skirt Tetras - The rescued one I had passed away recently
3x Swordfish
2x Rainbow Tetras - Rescued
2x Dwarf Frogs
3x Khuli Loaches
1x Zebra Loach
15+x Ghost Shrimp (also known as glass shrimp)
and so many more fish I can't list them all.
