Christmas

I realize not everyone celebrates it but for those who do...

Are you starting to pull out the decorations?
Does your tree have a "theme"?
Have you started or finished shopping?
What kind of "traditions" do you have with your family?

Christmas is my FAVORITE time of year! I have started decorating already. We have done alot of shopping but I'm not finished yet. Everytime I say I am finished I find one more thing to buy...lol This year we are doing mostly home made ornaments for the tree with our kids. Our kids always get to open one gift Christmas Eve (PJ'S). This year we are starting something new as well. I asked Santa to put our stockings by our bedroom doors. Christmas morning when the kids find them they can bring them into our room and we will all open them together in bed.

Christmas is my favourite time as well ;) I love everything about it the lights the music the baking, We usually put up our tree on Nov 28 its my son's birthday and its the one thing he likes to do every year on his day I am scared to put it up that early this year as the baby is now 1 and into everything I have visions of her pulling everything off the tree...lol I have started my shopping but I am only about half way through two of my kids have bdays at the end of Nov so it makes it a little harder to get everything done early, I am hoping to get it all done in the next few weeks but like you its never truely done till Christmas...lol I always find something else to buy, the majority of my tree is from ornaments the kids have made over the years its a mismatch of things but I think our tree looks perfect and it makes the kids feel good to see there work over the years I have ornaments on it my daughter made 9 yrs ago when she was in jk ;) most people I know have the perfect tree with everything matched but not mine ...lol I have every colour under the rainbow, I let my kids open one present on Christmas eve as well thats been a tradition since they were little we also watch a Christmas movie together that we all pick and have snacks and hot chocolate and before the kids go to bed we get out our cookies and milk write a little note to santa and off to bed :)

Oh...I wish I'd finished shopping...I haven't exactly started. I was just telling my mom how it doesn't feel very xmassy over here without a tree so she said she has a box of stuff for me...A mini tree, lights and decorations. I'll try and see how xmassy I can make it feel.:) I think if I had a large tree the budgies would go a little nuts in in so I'll stick with a smaller scale since it's just me.

I love xmas too! We put all the decorations up in December, I don't like doing it too early, I think that December is the right time to put things up, I don't know why , December just feels Christmasy lol..I'm weird. Last year we got our xmas tree on the 22nd or something like that :o (we always have a real one). I'll probably go xmas shopping much earlier though, probably late November...I love christmas shopping..so fun!!

We're hopefully buying a new tree on Saturday!! :D I'm so excited because our current one isn't very bushy looking, it's too weak to even hold up a star. :p

I've done about half of my xmas shopping. I love it! :D
