View Full Version : First sign of "winter"
Tonight is the first night temps here are in the 60's (F)....more like 65 but still...fairly chilly for south Florida. It's acctually a really nice change from the constant humidity and heat. It won't get much colder than 60 I don't think- I've lived here for 13years and this weather is my favorite! I really miss seeing now although I don't think I would enjoy having to drive in it.How cold does it get where you are?

It gets brrrr cold here in Ontario but its actually not to bad right now its about 4 (c) about 39(f) we had our first snow fall yesterday which I was really excited about although it disappeared as it hit the ground...lol I don't like the cold cold but I love the snow its so pretty around here when it snow's.
P.S Aly my daughter just came down ( yes she is up late :rolleyes: ) and saw your post with the picture of Ziggy and Baby and she is like mom is that Georgie and Ollie...lol she is like it looks just like them :p

its been low 40's high 30's here for the last few nights, All last week when my kids got on the bus at 7 am they were lucky if it was above 40 degrees, Monday it didnt go higher then 40 til around 1 pm then it only went to 42 degrees
it stinks - its too early to be this cold! lol

It is suppose to go back up to around 57 at the start of the week for a few days then back down I will be sure to take pictures when the snow comes and it will COME....lol :D
Our kids are going to be in a line up :eek: ...hehe what did we do to deserve such rotten kid's....lol :p
Well we're approaching summer here. :p It's getting warmer.

Bea, you don't know how lucky you are! It's definately getting chillier and rainier here, I hate winter :(
Winter is better! :p I hate both winter and summer, but at least in winter you can put on lots of clothes and get warm. In the summer there is only so many clothes you can take off, and you could even run around nude and still be too hot. :p

We had our first snowfall in September. (SIGH.) That was a really random snowfall, though, but around now is when it snows almost every day. It melts by the end of the day, but it's back again the next morning. I'm freezing right now, there's no heat in our house. :D

wow- that's early for snow..I guess the weather is really changing..how Sawyer doing with no heat?

Well, the computer room doesn't have heat. Technically the entire house doesn't have "heat", but we *do* have an electric fireplace (of some sort) in the room where the cages are. It actually gets really hot in there when it is on. We switch between having it on and off though, cuz once it's hot, it stays that way for awhile and can get uncomfortable. The budgies didn't seem to have a problem last year, though, so I'm not too worried. That particular room is generally always warmer than the rest of the house. ^^
It must be nice to acctually feel cold...the only time I get to feel cold is when the ac is on too low...it's still warm enough to go swimming here and not wear a jacket at night...wishing it colder atleast for december...

I envy you, actually. I used to go to Florida every year on vacation when I was younger. I'd love to live somewhere where it was warm all the time. :D

The grass is always greener on the other side....I look forward to this time of year where it's acctually cold at night. Being muggy and sticky all the time is no fun.

I agree with you I hate the hot hot weather in the summer ;)
