So, I know the safe nuts for our bigger parrots are typically walnuts & almonds (good calcium resource) and that pine nuts are okay, etc..
Do any of you feed your fids nuts and if so, what those nuts are...thanks!

I haven't ever fed nuts to either of my birds. But if I did I'd like offer walnuts and almonds

I've offered my tiels broken up nuts and they scorned them! If they pick up a piece they spit it right back out. I have no idea why, you'd think the little stinkers would love to eat nuts.

My girls are crazy about whole roasted peanuts in the hull. They love to destroy the hull before eating the peanut.I give them one each about once a week as a treat.Unsalted of course.
