View Full Version : What types of greens should i feed

I want to start giving my cockatiels a more healthly food variety and i was wondering what types of foods i could give them.... any advice??

Mine favor Bok Choy, Broccoli and Spinach in moderation.

Mine like broccolli, kale, shreaded carrots( you can buy them already shreaded) and dill. I don't give parsley because in some articles I have read that parsley is poisonous to budgies and tiels, I don't know if it is true. I hope not.

oh gosh i hope its not poisonous, i feed my tiel and budgies a massive bunch today :O
i dont think it is, my budgies havnt been affected by it before

Mine love Kale, Swiss Chard, any lettuce, carrot tops and Spinach but like stated you feed spinach once in a blue moon and NEVER to a breeding pair

Spinach absorbs their calcium, - other words it takes away the calcium they are ingesting and this is not what we want to happen to our birds.
