what do you feed your females to prevent egg-binding?
I mean, as far as seed, fruits, veggies, and different sources of protein go? (I heard somewhere that you need to give them protein.)

Obviously, I don't want for Wednesday to have to suffer through this. I've always been used to a little male budgie around, but I don't know what having a female cockatiel would be like! Maybe you guys can also tell me some things about girl cockatiels, if you feel I require some further information.

Solace.

First off I'm just gonna say, it doesn't happen to every female Cockatiel. It could and there's a chance it will, but I have 4 females and not one of them have laid eggs.

Make sure there is a fresh cuttlebone in her cage, and try to feed her foods which are high in calcium, such as collard greens, dandelion, turnip greens, kale, brocolli. Also give her egg, it's a good source of protein.

Edit: You made a thread similar to this.
