I have got a real big problem with buddy (my cockateil), ever since I got him we have been trying all kinds of veggies and fruit and will not eat any of it.
I have tried fresh and cooked. You name it we have done it.
I have mixed it in his cockatiel food and by itself and he won't eat it.

Just keep trying, Don't give up, persistence is the key
Some take longer then others. my older ones took almost a year to even look at it , little lone get near it - they thought it was going to hurt them or something
now they go crazy when they see us bringing in veggies, or greens
just don't give up!

Im lucky Rodney Percy copies my macaw and tries anything lol.
If Roger the macaw eats it then it must be ok!

I had that problem with Angel and then I cut her up some veggies and pretended that they were MINE and she could have any, then when she finally got them she tried some and loved it =D So maybe your cockatiel will be the same way, wanting what they think they cant have ;)
Say hi to buddy please =)

Keep on trying, it can take a long time for cockatiels to accept a new food. Experiment with the presentation too - some birds like their veggies cut up in a food bowl and others prefer their veggies hanging up in the cage. See whether he prefers a particular shape.
My birds' favorite ‘vegetable’ is lawn grass (chemical free of course). Unripe seed heads are a definite plus. We humans can’t digest it but it’s part of the birds’ wild diet so I think it’s great. They like ‘stemmy’ or narrow-leaved vegetables like thin asparagus, dandelion greens, carrot tops, green beans, and cilantro. They also like seed-like vegetables: corn kernels, peas, broccoli (the florets look like unripe seed heads).
Solace.

Make sure there's no seed in the cage at the time, some ignore veggies if they see that they still have their seed there.

Does Buddy like bread? Harley won't really eat his veggies either, so I blend down a cup of veggies into a liquid puree and add it to his bird bread recipe. He wolfs it down and is none the wiser. I always sprinkle it with delicious soaked seeds too.
Soaked and sprouted seeds aren't as great as veggies, but are easy, cheap and hugely increase the nutritional value of their seeds.

I'm working on growing an herb garden just for Holly and Hawkeye, so hopefully I can get them eating a bit better. They both ADORE grapes and they both get a half a grape in the mornings, in fact they are eating their grapes as I type this.
