After waiting for the last bit of Rainbow Pellets to be gone, I have switched to Zupreem Natural for Cockatiels. I thought the transition ould be hard, until I noticed when they ate the rainbow, it was only the yellow and white ones. Well, that made the change real easy! Plus side? Healthier for them, and no more rainbow poo on me!

And too, they seem to love th new Natural stuff better anyways! They practically fight over it!

Good to hear. That makes it better. All that artificial coloring is unnecessary. Make sure you still feed seed, veggies, fruits, etc.

Glad you had success! though Zupreem says that the artificial dyes aren't bad for the system, I still have concerns. I think the naturals, with no artificial dyes or flavors is much healthier for their sensitive systems

My guys happily eat the naturals now too. The Zupreem Avian Entrees Garden Goodness for small birds. It has the added benefits of dried veggies. Sometimes they eat them, sometimes not. I typically take the leftovers at the end of each day and put it in a container in my fridge. I plan on taking the leftover dust and dried veggies pieces and making birdie cookies or bread

Though I still offer the fruit as a treat every now and then. I have quite a bit left over, as my two converted much quicker then I expected.

Then look at the Zupreem Natural pellets ingredient list:
Ground corn, Soybean meal, Ground wheat,Vegetable oil,

carbonate, Ground vegetables (carrots, celery, beets, watercress
and spinach), Iodized salt, DL-methionine, Choline chloride,

supplement,Vitamin D3 supplement,Vitamin E supplement,

No artificial dyes or flavours.

I don't want to start a huge debate, but I just want to point out that artificial flavours and dyes in the fruit blend.

It's likely not extremely horrible for them, i just think it is better to try to put birds on a natural pellet rather then fruit.

That said, as I mentioned, I do offer the fruit pellets as a treat in their foraging toys every few days.
