I'm backkkk...hehe I had my 24 hr follow up appt a few hours ago and my vision is now 20/20 24 hrs after surgery which they said was absolutely amazing so quick after surgery :D the lady showed me on the letter charts what I was reading before which was the big letters listed at 200 and at my follow up I was reading the small line listed at 20 a BIG difference.

I knew after I got home from my surgery that it was going to be ok, when I first got it done things were abit fuzzy but I could see, after about 2 hours at home I could see perfectly I did a test the night before surgery I was lying in bed with my glasses off and I couldn't even make out the alarm clock the numbers where all fuzzy it was just like a blur and after surgery I lied down in bed and I could see every number it was amazing.

It was a little sore a few hours after surgery I had to use some drops for discomfort but just that one time then I was fine, I have to use 4 different drops every four hours for 5 dys which is a pain and I have to wear sunglasses for the first 48 hrs all the time inside and out and then for the next 5 days after that just when I go outside even at night, reminds me of the song I wear my sunglasses at night :p

Thanks to eveyone for your well wishes it really helped to hear everyone say it will be fine and I am so happy and thankful it did :)

Oh how wonderful!! I am so pleased for you, there is no way on this earth could I ever have that done. I think you are so brave. I don't like anything to do with eyes, hell, I can't even wear contacts. lol Was it painful to have done?

Thank Aly and Plukie

Plukie it was a little bit uncomfortable for about 5 seconds of it they put a little bit of pressure during one part of it and that was the worst of the uncomfortableness the thing that bothered me the most was for a few seconds everything goes black and you lose all vision so its abit scary and you can actually smell burning which I wasn't to crazy about either...lol but it only takes less then 60 seconds an eye to do, it happened so quick you don't have to much time to worry about it, the surgeon I had was excellent he talked me through everything was very reassuring and kept telling me how wonderful I was doing and that it was going excellent so I think that helped me alot, it was a little bit uncomfortable a few hours after my surgery you have to put alot of drops in and I found it hard to open my eyes for them, they gave me a tube of drops to use only if neccesary for discomfort I used it once yesterday and then I was fine after that, I would recommend it to anyone its done so quick and the results are just amazing I still can't get over how in less then 2 minutes you can have your vision back like that, I expected the recovery time to be alot longer I knew I would be able to see better but I didn't realize that it would happen as quick as it did they told me most people get about 80% of there vision 24 hrs after surgery but mine was already at 100%

I know some people that got it done and they would all do it again-they all said it was superquick. I just think it's amazing that they can do that. It should be done to everyone (free)

I had my eyes done about ten years ago. It is truly one of the best things I've ever done. I still marvel at the fact that I wore glasses most of my life, and then suddenly I could see without them. It really feels like a miracle. I would surely recommend it to anyone and everyone who has to wear glasses.

Lol...You will continue to "push your glasses up" and "reach under your glasses to rub your eye", for quite a while.:)
Congratulations!!! Linda

How are your eyes feeling today?

Thanks for asking Aly, there not to bad today when I woke up they were a little foggy but once I got the drops put in they were fine last night was the first night I didn't have to wear the stupid eye shields overnight they were such a pain you have to tape these plastic clear shields over your eyes for the first two nights so you don't rub them while your sleeping I looked like a bug with them on the kids and Ian had a good laugh at me :p
